Okay, I'm English, you probably guessed.

I've been living in Pais Vasco for about 6 years, teaching English. I only came here for a holiday!! So, I suppose I like the place.

My Spanish is awful though, my life is in English so dont get the chance to practice, and I'm shy so I'm not going to randomly meet people. I'm going to start studying though, I promise.

I'm 42.

I like bikes, although I probably talk about them more than ride them.

My main bike is a Chumba HX1, it's a hardtail but is very very comfortable, not at all like a typical aluminium bike. It has 140mm forks and a 50mm stem, the steering is quick and the handling downhill is excellent. It's still very good on singletrack and going up hills. I use an Alfine hub, probably the greatest mtb invention ever, no horrible mechs that stop working in the mud!
I have two other bikes at the moment. An orange p7 from 1994 and a 2009 Orange P7. Both of these are for sale as I'm trying to raise the money for a road bike. Seem to have difficulty selling them, strange as they are excellent bikes. Maybe Orange isnt all that well-known in Spain?

Yesterday, I was out along the coast near to where I live. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day. The coastal track isnt very technical or hard, just lots of fun and great views.
