    GPS de 2017 con el mismo hardware que su hermano mayor Elemnt. El Bolt es más pequeño, con una sola fila de leds, 2 horas menos de batería y más económico.

    PRIMERAS IMPRESIONES


    Lo he usado ya un par de salidas breves.
    Cuelgo fotos y primeras impresiones, tampoco me extenderé mucho, como ya sabéis los reviews de Dcrainmaker son la pera.

    Mi pantalla inicial con 7 campos. Se pueden poner hasta 9 y con los botones de la derecha los puedes reducir en marcha.

    Se ve muy bien tanto con la luz de fondo encendida (la tengo en 15 segundos por ahora) como apagada. EDITO - en exterior soleado no hace falta luz de fondo, solo será necesaria cuando oscurece.

    2a pantalla. Es personalizada, puedes poner lo que te salga de ahí

    Strava en parado. En marcha da mas datos y puedes poner un que se vea un resumen en cualquier otra pantalla. Saldrá en la parte inferior

    Pantalla mapa/navegación. Con los botones de la derecha, acercas-alejas muy fácilmente.

    Se cambia de pantalla rápidamente y sin sacar la mano del manillar. Pantalla altitud configurada al gusto (como todas!).

    Con el único botón de la izquierda , enciendes-apagas el Bolt y también entras en la configuración del cacharro, aunque no es necesario, con el móvil lo haces todo más rápido y mejor (un gustazo).

    LEDS

    Tienen varias configuraciones. Yo los he probado con la velocidad media. Si vas más rápido se encienden en azul del medio hacia la derecha. Si vas mas lento, en amarillo hacia la izquierda.

    GPS

    Lleva Glonass y comparado con un Garmin 520, coge la señal unos segundos antes y posiciona mejor. En una ruta de 30 kms la raya que pinta el GPS sobre el mapa, coincide al 95% con la carretera.
    En calles estrechas donde el 520 se vuelve loco y marca en zig-zag, el Bolt marca una linea recta bastante correcta.

    ALTÍMETRO

    Es barométrico y de momento, aunque no se puede calibrar (en la puerta de casa por ejemplo), es bastante mejor que el Garmin, una de las mayores quejas de sus usuarios.

    VALOR AÑADIDO

    Para los PROS, este GPS se puede atornillar al soporte delantero y eso en la normativa de la UCI quiere decir que se puede incluir en el pesaje de la bici. Además es aerodinámico y ahorras unos (mini)vatios.



    PEGAS

    PERFILES/VARIAS BICICLETAS
    Solo tiene uno.

    GUARDADO DE ACTIVIDADES

    Soy usuario de Garmin (correr y bici) desde 2010, pero también he tenido Polar y TomTom. Al final, tener todas las actividades en un sitio era un cristo, hasta que compré por 1 euro la app Syncmytracks.
    Puedes enviar las actividades que te de la gana por rango de fechas, o solo la última, o dejarlo programado para que lo haga solo.

    Porque digo esto?
    Porque la app de Wahoo solo te lo subirá a Strava y alguna app conocida más, pero no a Polar Flow o Garmin Connect. Eso si, llegas a casa, te sacas casco, zapas, ropa etc. y cuando cojes el móvil ya lo tienes subido.

    La otra opción seria pinchar el bolt al PC, sacar los .fit y subirlos a mano donde te interese.


    LIVETRACK / DETECCION ACCIDENTES

    Detección no tiene y aunque parezca un chorrada, es muy útil. A mi me parecía algo poco necesario, pero me he dado dos leches serias últimamente, y ahora lo veo casi IMPRESCINDIBLE.
    El Garmin 520 lo hace muy bien. Tras la leche, pita el móvil como un loco y tienes 60 segundos para pararlo. Si no lo paras, alerta a la parienta y envía el posicionamiento.

    Se PUEDE SUPLIR con la app SOS Sport. Le configuras que si en X tiempo no detecta movimiento (por GPS o por los sensores de movimiento del móvil) se ponga a pitar y si en 30/60 segundos no lo paras, envía posicionamiento en coordenadas (google maps si la tienes de pago) y mensaje.

    LIVETRACK
    ACTUALIZADO 18/07/17 esto ya no pasa:
    tal cual decia DCrainmaker, es penoso.
    No solo es un simple punto en el mapa, si no que lo peor de todo, es que cuando acabas la actividad no sale NADA. Es decir, que si te pegas una leche y se jode el móvil que? Donde te buscan?
    Garmin permite que esa ruta sea visible 24h

    Solución, la app gratuita Real Time GPS tracker 2

    Abres, le das a start y listo. El link siempre es el mismo y mantiene la ultima ruta y posición hasta que haces una nueva.
    O sea que copiar-pegar el mensaje por whatsapp o mail " he salido con la bici + el link" y encender la app, es suficiente.

    DONT WORRY

    En las fotos la pantalla se ve muy pixelada. Eso solo es de muy cerca, montado en la bici se ve muy bien.

    Wahoo parece ser que escucha a los clientes y corrige errores. Es de esperar que el live track mejore.

    Falta probar seguir una ruta con el mapa, ruta con Turn by Turn y seguir otra poniendo en el móvil que te lleve a X dirección.

    PLANNED WORKOUTS

    ELEMNT BOLT can now perform planned/structured workouts. Choose one of the built-in workouts or sync your upcoming training schedule from TrainingPeaks or Today's Plan. After selecting a workout from the PLANNED WORKOUTS section under the SETTINGS screen, ELEMNT will guide you through the workout highlighting your target efforts via the fields, LEDs, sounds, popup notifications and the target effort graph. At any time in the workout, you can pause your plan and also skip forward and back through the planned intervals.

    ANT+ FE-C SUPPORT

    ELEMNT BOLT can now connect to FE-C trainers via ANT+

    ELEMNT BOLT LIVE TRACKING UPDATE. MORE DATA & PRIVACY CONTROLS

    • The Live Track site now shows more data including your breadcrumb trail, route, live ride data and charts.
    • You can continue to share your permanent link, though we have introduced a new temporary link that will expire at the end of the day. Once expired, the link will no longer be able to track you.
    • The link that is auto-posted to Facebook, Twitter and email is a temporary link that will expire at the end of the day.

    Buen trabajo , yo tengo un Garmin 820 y de momento no me planteó cambiar pero creo que tu explicación puede sacar de dudas a un posible comprador.
    Cuando compre el Garmin hice un post preguntando por el wahoo elemnt , ojala hubiera tenido una información como la,que tu has puesto.

    TEST SIGUIENDO RUTA "PLANA"

    Ruta plana, sin waypoints ni avisos Turn by Turn, copiada de Garmin Connect.
    Descargas la ruta al móvil, abres directamente el .gpx y si tienes varias apps capaces de abrirla, eliges Wahoo.

    Seleccionamos "rutas" y elegimos la que nos interese del listado

    Se abre el mapa y si marcamos SELECCIONE RUTA la cargará en el Bolt. Si le damos a las flechas la pondrá a la inversa y después podemos enviarla al Bolt. Con cualquier ruta cargada en el Bolt, también se puede seleccionar que la invierta.

    Cuando esté cargada en el Bolt ya podemos iniciar la actividad.

    Carretera: con el zoom a 100 metros es suficiente. Se ve claro y no hay error posible.

    Ciudad: aquí mejor a 50 metros para no pasarse ninguna calle.

    Si te sales de la ruta, te avisa con un pitido en 10-15 metros y a los 20 cambia el pitido y se ponen a parpadear en rojo todos los leds. IMPOSIBLE no darse cuenta.
    En la foto me he salido a propósito y he dado la vuelta en cuanto se han puesto los leds en rojo.

    TODAS las demás pantallas siguen funcionando y podemos acceder a ellas. Los avisos de Strava también

    Puedes elegir vs KOM o vs tu mejor tiempo y debajo te muestra el perfil de lo que te queda. Por el momento, el adelanto-retraso que marca NO ES EN TIEMPO REAL, se basa en la media del segmento. Wahoo ya lo está implementando para que sea real con tu posición.

    ALTÍMETRO:

    En principio marca muchiiiiiiisimo mejor que el 520. Las alturas casi las clava pero si no lo hace, la diferencia es correcta. Me explico:

    En la puerta de casa tengo 24 m y en un punto cerca del mar donde siempre paso son 6 m de altura. Pues el Garmin, aunque yo le ajuste manualmente que salimos a 24 m, cuando llego al punto de los 6 m me ha marcado desde -50 hasta +38.
    El Bolt si marca de salida 30 (+6) por ejemplo, cuando llegamos al punto G debería marcar 12 y no se aleja mucho, 2 o 3 metros máximo.

    La pendiente la marca bien, aunque eso si, cuando pasamos de llano a X% le cuesta arrancar. Luego se refresca cada 5 segundos aprox.

    Buen análisis. Gracias.
    La verdad es que hace tiempo que oigo hablar de estos Wahoo pero no he probado ninguno. Parece que cada vez son una mejor apuesta.
    Ya va siendo aburrido tanto Garmin, no?

    La intención era esa, pero cuando me decidí no tenian estoc hasta ayer y el ansia me pudo.
    Lo compré en Deporvillage.
    En Sanferbike tambien lo tenian.

    Otro usuario de Wahoo Bolt desde hace unas 6 semanas, muy conforme, tal vez esperaba un poco más de batería, como salgo antes del amanecer dejo prendida la luz de fondo, me dura unas 8 horas en este modo.

    No he encontrado en ningún sitio información sobre las medidas que ofrece el Bolt.
    Imagino que sea como Garmin: velocidad (media, Maxima, de vuelta); frecuencia cardíaca (instantánea, media, máximo, vuelta); tiempo; distancia; potencia (instantánea, media , media de 3s/10s/30s/vuelta, normalizada, IF, equilibrio de piernas...), Temperatura, y todo lo demás, no?

    Yo no uso, pero precisamente eso es lo que más tiene. Te muestro todos los campos que puedes poner en una pantalla personalizada, utilizables siempre y cuando tengas los sensores correspondientes:

    Cuántas pantallas personalizadas tenía? Me suena que 8.
    Por mi parte, ayer pregunté a servicio técnico de wahoo y me enviaron un Excel con todas las métricas, lo adjunto por si a alguien le interesa...
    Después de ver todas las métricas me he decidido por vender mi Edge 1000 nuevo y hacerme con este. No acaba de convencerme el tamaño que tiene, prefiero algo más reducido y los Garmin 520 y demás no son una opción por el fallo de la lluvia. Si a alguien le interesa ya sabe con quién contactar jeje.

    Digo el tamaño del 1000, que es muy exagerado para lo que yo busco, hay algunas carreras que no me molaría correr con un smartphone colgando por delante del manillar, por lo que pueda pasar... jaja
    Además cuanta más pantalla más consume, más pesa.. El bolt es mi producto ideal ahora mismo.

    Una pregunta, ¿no tiene problemas con el sensor barométrico los días de lluvia, cosa que sí tiene el 520, no?
    Alguna queja en concreto? Algo que te queme la moral? jeje
