Hello to all from a newbie,

I have been lurking for a while and I really like the look of it here in Your forum,
I am a regular on the www.retrobike.co.uk forum and I have noticed a few of my scans and one of my kestrel MXZ ‘s on here already, good to see we all like the same era of mountain biking.

I am from York in the UK and like to collect the older mountain bikes from years ago so I feel this part of the forum is more to my suiting. As you have already noticed I am typing in English - Sorry :( , My school never thought to teach us any useful languages for our future lives or interests , if I need to I will use the altavista babelfish but I have learnt from the German and the French forums the translation is very poor so I am relying on your language skills to understand me.

Please work with me on the language barrier

Here are a couple of my rides

    Kestrel mxz black full xt

    Kestrel mxz white full dx

plenty more pictures available if you want to see more :)

    Wellcome!
I´ve already seen your bikes at retrobike, and specially the trimble are spectacular! By the way, I sold few weeks ago a klein to "jeztomanybikes", from that forum, hope to see it soon, sure it will be build up great.
    Cheers

Wuuuaaaauuuu! The Trimble is amazing!!! Maybe not much rideable but pretty awesome!!

And the fork of the white Kestrel, which one is it?

Welcome to this "classical part" of the forum, where the older bikers meet together!!

Ah, thank you all for a nice reception, good to see my bad schooling doesn't get in the way of my hobby :)

It seems many of you have frequented the retrobike site already, great . I also see that at least one of you has dealt with jez, the resident buyer of all that is nice in the world of vintage MTB's

The trimble is a rider, not seen serious action offroad yet but I was very suprised how nice it is to ride, I would definately have another !

The fork on the white kestrel is a tange switchblade sprayed to match the frame in a nice pearlescent white, I also have one for the black kestrel and the original tange prestige fork.

Wellcome to the best spanish classic bikes forum in the whole world! :chinchin

The guys here rocks, but as aya said, we all are a bit insane about our main hobby. :boom

Sorry about the scan's leak issue: I've to recognise that Retrobike is one of my main source. :cuñao

By the way, the frame(*) you can see here is mine, so the picture's traffic has two ways. ;)

    Regards. :bye

(*) Ideas about the assembly, as always, are wellcome.

    Thank you

I agree, pictures are a universal language that breaks the language barrier, they say things better than I could in any language.

    No leak matey :) ,
I put stuff on the internet because I want and expect people to read it
, if no one read it and didn't share it I would feel it was all a waste of my time and wonder why I bothered .

Internet is sharing, dont put it on if you dont want people to copy or steal ;-)

I like it here and I am sorry if some can't understand what is being written here, someone please pass that message on to those who can't understand.

    Hi,

I totally agree with you: "share what you know, learn what you don't". ;)

    some more pictures.

These are recent bikes that have been and gone for one reason or another - shame but usually for a good reason

This is the pace 1991 RC100, it won bike of the year on retrobike last year.

Good quality Yorkshire built bike, but sadly I sold it to help fund the trimble , I do kind of regret doing that :( .

1997 Breezer storm, bought NOS from italy, made from aluminium rather than steel , Very nice indeed but it never got built up , sold it to fund the white kestrel

1994 Manitou FS my first real retro ride, always wanted one and it was a good bike, headtube cracked :( so I sold it to someone who wanted to try and repair it .

Slingshot - way too weird too ride - never again

Many others have been and gone but sadly no photo’s

    enjoy
