New to spanish mountainbiking

Hi, I am picking up a mountain bike soon and am keen to get out into the mountains wherever they are. I am wondering if anyone has any info of groups or clubs that go mountainbiking in madrid. the thing is I am not exactly at club fitness so Im looking for a introduction to the scene. also my spanish is pretty basic. I used to cycle a lot but alas that was nearly ten years ago so im rusty to say the least. any feedback on groups or ideas much appreciated.

Hi Avalanche,

you've choosen quite a nice place for biking. Madrid's mountains offer everything you want. We usually meet on saturdays, meeting points and tracks are discussed by mail. We have a wide spread of fitness within the group so there won't be any problem for a newbee.

looks great. are you part of a club? or is it a group of friends? would it be possible for me to meet up for a cycle some day? im currently waiting on a bike to be built up and sent to me which should be in the next four weeks.

We are just an e-mail-group. We put a ride one or two days before in the mailing and those who want to ride send a feedback. Today we've been out for 40km and we were just three. In spring and summer it can be that we are 15. So if you want, send me your mail and I put you in the list.

Hi,

There are many groups. You look at [URL="http://www.foromtb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47"]. and you enrol it depending on what you like most, I do not think you have trouble with the language.
