Hi, I'm visiting friends in Galicia soon and will probably be bringing my bike. Just wondering what the area is like for mtb trails. Also what would be a good map to use and what restrictions are there on mtbing in Spain (e.g are there any paths/areas you cant cycle on/in. Thanks in advance of any help.

Hi,
I've been riding in Christmas in the area of Ourense, great area to Mountain bike, lot's of single trails. as for maps I've used a 1:25000 topo map and found my way around pretty well, not to mention my cousin shown me some of the trails there.
But there is also a group of riders that meet regular for rides there you can find the post http://www.foromtb.com/f46/rutas-y-q...se-122123.html
good luck
