Hi all, sorry my Spanish is crap so excuse me posting in English As a Canadian Freerider, momentarily based in Berlin, I will travel Mallorca this spring and would be glad to get some 1st hand, local advise. I seek good singletrail/ Freeride spots & Tours and don't mind 1500m altitude climbs though. Prefer technical rides with flow to highspeed DH slopes. Hello Tyl, hope U´ll find nice trails here in Mallorca but don't spect to find DH courses as the ones U've in Canada or in the Alps. Rafael Ferrer knows good sites where to do some good DH and freeride. Russianyaz, menos mal que controlas el ingles mejor que yo (lo tengo un poco enquistado), haber si se viene un par de días por aqui el canadiense y podemos practicar un poco de ingles, que yo con mi bici hablo el mallorquenglish. Y encima me he hecho la picha un lio con los links (o como se llamen)
:meparto pues te va bien con el mallorquenglis, yo trabaje 2 años con unos canadienses en La Habana y por eso aun conservo algo del ingles aprendido en el cole :comor3 ...lo de los links fue porque seguro con el apuro no miraste que cuando le das insertar un hipervinculo (o link) aparece lo de http:// y por eso se repitio... y ya esta que para hablar de informatica me basta el curro... espero vernos en alguna bajada por ahi, aunque soy de los que solo veras al inicio y al final, pero porque bajaras muchisimo mas rapido que yo :meparto
Es lo que tiene no poder hablar habitualmente, yo tambien tuve un jefe Suizo que no hablaba nada de español y las reuniones eran en ingles. Lo de las bajadas depende de si me esperais, en las subidas siempre llego el último y sacando el corazón por la boca.Porque el otro domingo en Massanella no me esperaron porque "tenian frio" y no me dejaron terminar de atarme las rodilleras, pero casi les pillo...............................................................
Hi there, thanks for the videos, but has anyone got some routes in mind? and if not detailed descriptionsroadbooks, any advise like. "ride up GR 131 to Puig XXX and ride down GR XXX to XXX" would really help me a lot... I'm quite common with finding ways, but if you could give me a hint where to start, wich ways are better rides than others, I'd apreciate a lot, cheers and ride on Tyl
Hello there Kona_Wimp, if U check out the link to the post where we put all our excursions U'll see lot of maps taken from Google Earth so is impossible to get lost. Also we have all the tracks so if U've a GPS I can send U some of the plt so U can use them. Some of the good downhill tracks are located in Masanella, San Salvador, Monti Sion and Torrent de Coanegra. Comuna de Buynola has lot of singletracks where to ride and some good downhills. Nearby Palma there are some paths also starting from La Vileta or from Coll de Sa Creu. Our group always go ride on tuesdays and thursdays night so light should be a must, rides of about 2-3 hours. Saturdays is the long ride, usually about 5-6 hours depending on the track. If U want U can join us any day, U'll be welcomed. I usually go ride whenever my wife is working and I have free time, today for example, I went for a 3h ride with some beatifull singletracks and a good downhill with some drops. If all locals are nearly as friendly as you are, it'll be a good ride. Hi Kona_Wimp, all the locals are friendly enough just that not all speak english or have the time to check out the forum daily c U'll be welcomed any day U want to ride with us, as I told our routes are more enduro like, always searching for good downhills so must go up first in order to go down after :rocker If we cannot meet on route then maybe just for a drink here in Palma :chinchin I wish some day I could not only ride on Vancouver but visit Canada in general and all the awesome places it has to discover. I even have a couple of good old friends that live in Vancouver and Toronto. I hope I can visit them sooner or later...better sooner :crybaby Good luck and have fun!
