    Hi

Can anyone recommend some places to go biking around cost blanca? I am going to the holiday home which is near Torrevieja in a couple of weeks and might bring one of the bikes a long? Is there anywhere local or within a 30 minute drive?
I have been to Sierra Espuna which was good but looking for something else.

I run a bike shop so have access to any Santa Cruz, Giant or Cannondale. What would people recommend?
Possibly a Nomad to cover most grounds?

    Thanks

Hi jack, im from La Nucia, a town next to Benidorm( which i think you will know better). I recently started practicing mountain biking and have quite a few friends that mountain bike too. As im a bit new to this i really dont know many trials or nice tracks to move along but according to my pals there are plenty and more. I must say we practice enduro riding, but depending on the day and the friends it can be a bit lighter, or full on enduro.
At this time i imagine this wont be much help, but as i progress and learn about tracks and trials i can keep you updated if u wish.

As for the bike you want to bring along, you will have enough with an enduro bike, you will need somthing polivalent anyways as i imagine you wont be bringing 2 or 3 bikes. I ride a 07 Stumpy, frinds use Scalpels, Meta, reign,...

Brilliant thanks for getting in touch. I will be out there in about 8-10 weeks so can start exploring the area.
I mainly do enduro/All mountain type riding so should be spot on.

I´m from Holland, but I´m living here in Altea since 2008. The last year I have started with MTB, and because I´m also interested in maps and GPS-navigation, I have bought the Garmin Oregon 650, and I use mainly the maps from OpenMTBmap , which are based upon openstreetmap, and refreshed every week. In principle you can download the maps free, but the owner, a guy in Vienna, appreciate a donation. During the last months, I have made a lot of corrections in the Spain-map, especially the area around Altea. Nice routes you can find in wikiloc. If you like more free-ride and jumping, and more technical trials, you can amongst other meet those in the area "Cautivador", between Alfaz del Pi and La Nucia, but also at the Sierra Helada between Albir and Benidorm, but there are more.....
