In order to provide maximum durability, the exterior of the cassettes is shot-peened. This involves blasting the outside with tiny ceramic balls to surface harden the metal. Finally, a hard ceramic coating is added onto the cassette surface. These steps reduce the rate of abrasive wear, but an aluminum cassette is still definitely a "race day" component. Typical lifespan is 1000 - 2000 miles, but obviously this will vary depending on the gearing you use and your riding conditions. Note that "big ring" riders will typically see longer life spans. The higher torque pressure created by small ring gearing is more likely to cause gradual deformation of the cassette teeth. The smallest cogs are the most likely to wear sooner. GREAT option for those racing, climbing, time trial, or triathalon wheelsets!!! Compatible with all Campagnolo 10 speed drivetrains and chains. Compatible with Campagnolo, Wippermann, KMC, and YBN chains. Precision CNC machined cogs for excellent quick smooth shifting. Unique one-piece precision cut cassette design Surface coated with Ultra hard ceramic coating. Approximate wear life: 1,500-3,500km Material: 7075 T6 Alloy T-7451 hard anodized sprockets Lockring included: Machined alloy black anodized Weight: See chart (Compare to Campagnolo RECORD 12/25 at 211grams!!) Alguien lo ha probado? Impresiones?
