Pues eso, en poco menos de 2 semanas me iré a Manchester a vivir y mejorar mi inglés, voy a la aventura, a buscar trabajo. Me encanta la bici y practico bastante enduro y DH, aunque si hay que hacer algo de XC se hace. Un par de preguntas a ver si alguien me puede ayudar: 1. Mi idea es que si me va bien con el trabajo, volver lo antes posible para llevarme una bici allí, que de las 3 que tengo sería la de enduro, que es la más polivalente, desde hacer rutillas hasta un DH no muy heavy (reign X). He ido a preguntar a agencias de transporte y el enviarla salía por un ojo de la cara, creo que lo más barato 250 . Así que creo que la mejor opción es que me bajara yo en avión y subirla facturada, que es un suplemento de 50, y de paso podría coger más ropa etc... ¿para llevarla en avión vale con una caja y dejarla bien forrada? Ya que también he visto que hay maletas para bicis pero pasa como con la mensajería, que se me va de las manos por el precio. ¿alguna experiencia? 2. En Manchester cómo está el tema de enduro / DH? Mirando por wikilocs veo que hay bastantes rutas por peak district, y también veo que Manchester no está ni a una hora de Sheffield...que siendo de allí Steve Peat algo habrá no?jaja Y bueno, he visto también que hay bastantes carreras, seguro que más que aquí, intentaría apuntarme a alguna si pudiera ya que justo ahora empiezan aquí y me voy a ir con todo el mono. 3. Se me acaba de ocurrir otra cosa, ¿hay allí algún foro que sea como este pero inglés? Me vendría de perlas, he buscado y solo encuentro los de mtbr que no parece que hagan quedadas y demás. Sending bikes via post in Spain is a joke. (cost me 30 pounds to send a bike from England to Spain, Spain to England is more than 150 euros)
I'll take a look at them. Is good to know that its cheaper to send from UK. Do you know by any chance if its a good idea to use a regular carton box for the plane? I'll cover all the bike with protections though, foam insulation (Imagino que se dirá así XD). anyway thanks a lot.
A cardboard box should be ok with lots of padding. Be careful as some airlines dont like you packing all your clothes in the same box as the bike.

Yes, I won't pack clothes in the box, just the bike and maybe some tools, I guess it won't exceed the max weight, 30kg in rayanair... About the weather, I guess I'll have to get used to it, I didn't ride today because of the conditions. It was snowy in Madrid... thanks for the advices
In England, we say there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. Make sure you try some real beer. The North-west is a good place for it. Why Manchester anyway?
I like that phrase. I'm going with a friend, he spent some time in London and says is too expensive, and after consider some places we decided Manchester, first we tought of Liverpool but then we found out that they have his own dialect, the scouse, thank god we did, It'd be a bummer.
