Lo pego aqui para que sea mas facil.

In 1996 when Richie Schley started riding Rocky Mountain bikes Gretzky signed with the Rangers, Kyle Strait was in grade four and freeride was the newest thing in snowboarding. A chapter in the history of mountain bike freeriding has come to an end; Richie Schley and Rocky Mountain Bicycles have parted company.

Richie's been a huge asset for Rocky Mountain. He's been called the most photographed mountain biker of all time and rarely does a month go by when he doesn't nab a cover. So why did the icon and the soulful brand part company? Depending on who you talk to Richie's departure was either precipitated by a sponsor conflict, (Shimano Canada thought Richie should be on their wheels but his contract was written to allow him to roll on Mavic) a partnership that had run its course - or maybe Rocky just had too many veteran athletes. Whatever the reason it's not entirely bad news for Schley. "The timing is good for me. I had a lot of good times and established some great relationships at Rocky but I'm looking forward to something new."

An elder statesman like Richie has a lot of value for the right business - assuming a company the right size and with the right line of bikes has a vacancy. An advantage the Froriders have over other athletes is an extremely high profile in Europe. Each summer Rocky sends their riders on tour to increase brand awareness in Germany, Italy and other European markets. Schley, Simmons and Vanderham are true rockstars over there so it's no surprise to hear Rotwild's name bandied about as Schley's new sponsor.

Before they signed Gareth Dyer a few years back I had never heard of Rotwild. I haven't ridden a Rotwild yet either but you can't miss their distinctive, painstakingly engineered designs. If anyone can improve the company's image - and perhaps help them crack the North American market - Richie Schley can.

Stay tuned to nsmb.com for an official announcement once Richie's new deal is confirmed.
