Hey everybody! @Rz0044 Ahm... I don't speak spanish but I let google translate your questions into some miserable english. Let's hope I got it right... We plan those trips at least half a year before we start. There are several good books out there that describe routes and passes for mountain bikers. But I would seriously suggest you to start in the central alps of austria which have been made available a lot better than the western alps of italy and france. Flo also does a lot of internet research and contacts people who have done pieces of the route we want to do. BUT: You really need at least one person in your group who has knowledge about alpine territory and has to be able to estimaet weather conditions for at least the next hours and above all you all have to know what you can expect of yourselfs!! One more important thing: In the mountains you don't count kilometers but height meters - that's all that counts. We usually do between 1700 and 2300hm per day. That's OK for us to also make a lot of nice pictures and videos! This year we actually planned to be on the bikes for 14 days but a bad weather front ruined those plans so it were actually only 8 days. For a start I would recommend no longer than one week. Costs are not very high. Well, the bikes and our equipment probably are, but we mostly sleep in cottages up in the mountains which are around 30-50€ including meals and breakfast. By the way it can be really nice and cozy up there if you don't mind cold showers from time to time ;-) During the day we usually go shopping in some supermercado in a small village on the way. All we have with us is a backpack of about 8kg. 2 bike shirts, 2 bike trousers, rain coat, stuff to wear for the cottage, first aid kit, detailled maps(!), repair kit, blabla. Of course we don't have any car support! Happy trails!:biker Timm
