    Hi guys,

i'm not so good at spanish, but still want your help, hope english is fine with you. If you want, you can reply in spanish, and i will try to translate it.

The thing is that i'll move to Alicante soon and stay for a year. And off course i want to keep riding bikes. I'm about to purchase a new bike, so i want you opinion on which bike will be best for Alicante (I can only afford one bike).

It will either be a DH bike (Transition TR500), or a AM bike ( Commencal Meta sx).

But it all depends on how the trails are in the area. If there are some awesome enduro trails near Alicante city, it could be cool to do a lap after school, altough i won't have too much time, and an AM bike would probably be the best.

If there are very few to none good trails near Alicante city, i will buy a DH bike and try to visit La fenasosa bike park as often as possible in the weekends and enjou it on my DH bike. I know it's possible to ride the bike aprk on an AM bike, but from what i've seen, La Fenasosa Bike Park seems very rough. Anyway i'll visit the bike park as often as possible no matter what bike.

It sould be mentioned that i mostly like flow fast trails with jumps, but also enjoy technical and rough trails.

    I won't ride any XC.

    Thanks in advance!

    Nói.

    Hi Nói.

Expect that no one gets p*ssed about answering on English. :D

My recomendation: Get an AM bike (here in Europe they're named Enduro) rather than a DH - more versatile. 160mm on suspension travel is very capable for Bike Park rompings, no need to apply for a Cannonball (IMHO).

In fact I'm torn deciding between a Giant Reign 27.5 1 or a YT Capra CF Pro (UHM... tough decisión need to decide about them quite soon).

I think, for the Fenasosa, the best is go with a Dh bike, big stones an hard tracks. I went with my enduro bike this summer and i enjoyed it, but the type of the terrain is really hard for a enduro bike.

Close to alicante, or near alicante. You have a lot of places and tracks like san vicent del raspeig (sabinar) or more far alcoy, cocentaina, onil, Bennidorm.

Usually I go there and I have ride with my enduro bike.

All depends whatever you want make or what you like more. If ride with DH bike or with enduro bike.

    Have fun.

If you want you come with my town Xativa. Good place to do enduro. 1 hour by car. You' ll be welcome

Have a really good deal on a Transition TR500, and if i leave alicante, it will probably be to visit the bike park, won't have time to go outside Alicante in the everyday.

So i think i'm going with a dh bike, unless you can convince me otherwise :)
