Just because there are only 100 riders that will pay retail for an RFX does not mean that I am not thinking about it, making notes and planning for it's production, some day. There NEEDs to be a sh!t load of Banshees and Scratch and SX and Coves and on and on sold in the 160+ travel range to increase the size of the market so there are then enough riders looking to upgrade to an RFX. Some of you are not really keeping in mind what that proto really is, it is not the scrawny trail bike with a bit more travel than a 5 Spot. It is a 66.5 HA low bb shreader that has an even SMALLER market than the numerical version of the old RFX! Once again I move the target ahead of the bell curve. Hay un debate brutal sobre ese modelo y sobre la marca Turner en general en mtbr.com. Los modelos Actuales ya son demasiado caros de por si, 2400 Dolares por un cuadro de Aluminio es una pasada, Esta pues se sube a la parra un poco mas y las cuentas es normal que no salgan asi que hay mucha gente que quiere que Turner se traslade ya de una vez a Taiwan, mientras que otros quieren que se quede en USA... El problema en realidad creo que es que Dave Turner está un poco desbordado, la Nueva DHR les está dando muchos dolores de cabeza y no le deja tiempo para desarrollar la RFX. Cuando la de DH esté terminada y se hayan tomadp un pequeño respiro, pues es posible que se ponga con la RFX, o que saque una Six Spot, que basicamente era la primera RFX.... lo cual es una tremenda ironia, aunque claro, a toro pasado es muy facil criticar... Según ha dicho DT, el diseño está listo.... el problema es que los costos de producción están muy altos si se mantienen haciendolos en USA. A estas alturas el problema es solo $$$
Pues esteticamente es como poco fea. Con lo bonita que eran las anteriores...desde el dw link que no levantan cabeza....y en usa son una gran manada los seguidores que tienen...
El diseño está listo.... para mandarlo a Taiwan y que se pueda vender por 2000-2200. El tema es que si lo quieren hacer en USA va a tener que modificarlo una vez mas para rebajar un poco el coste. Y ese es el problema, que a DT no le hace mucha gracia tener que rebajar calidades para llegar a un precio de Venta. Es algo que nunca ha hecho y tiene toda la pinta de que no lo va a hacer. Asi que yo creo que el diseño se quedará en un cajon. Lo mas probable es que modifique un poco la 5-Spot y listo. Un saludo.
