Please follow the instructions below on how to combine an exercise file. Combining measurement files can be performed using the Polar Precision Performance software. The combining can be done by editing the HR file of the exercise. A HR file has the .hrm extension. It is named according to the date when the file was created. The file name is based on the following format: yymmdd01.hrm, where y means the year, m the month, d the day and 01 the ordinal of the exercise for that day. 1. Open the Exerise page in the Diary that has the bigger number of these two exercises that you would like to combine. 2. Open the .hrm file of the exercise in Windows Notepad. The easiest way to open the file is to press Ctrl-key down and then click the info button that is positioned in the lower right corner of the Exercise page (the button with a blue circle and the letter "i") (Embedded image moved to file: pic31492.pcx) 3. Browse to the [HRData] section in the end of the listing. 4. Copy the heart rate values in the section to the Windows Clipboard. You can copy also the other values: altitude, speed, cadence and/or power values. Then close the Notepad program. 5. Open the Exerise page in the Diary that has the smaller number of these two exercises that you would like to combine. 6. Open the .hrm file of the exercise in Windows Notepad by pressing the Ctrl-key down and then clicking the info button. 7. Browse to the [HRData] section in the end of the listing. 8. Paste the heart rate files from the Clipboard after the existing heart rates in the section. Save the file and close the Notepad program. 9. Open the edited file in the software e.g. by double-clicking the HR curve miniature in the lower right corner of the Exercise page. 10. Update the exercise duration by selecting the entire exercise: select Edit - Select Entire Exercise or press Ctrl+a. 11. Edit the other data (lap times, ect.) as desired in the HR curve view. 12. Remove the later, unnecessary Exercise page by clicking the Remove button in the bottom of the Exercise page. The software prompts you to confirm if you like to delete also the attached heart rate file. It is good idea not to delete the heart rate file from to the computer's hard disk as a precaution. (Embedded image moved to file: pic22996.pcx)It is recommended to backup the file before editing. I hope this information helps you.
