1. Cierre cancelado

PD3. He quitado toda la publicidad que, sinceramente, era excesiva.

Lots of information on Southern Spain and MTBs, but I can't find much regarding the North coast. Any suggestions on where I can find info regarding mountain biking in the Gijon area? I am travelling there summer of 2008 and would like to rent a good bike while I am there. Anyone know if there is a bike shop that rents bikes in this area of Spain? Any good trails?

Vallnord is very far from Gijon, you should look for another place near Gijon.

Vallnord might be a bit too far from Gijon, (800km) no?
The yellow pages have given a list of shops that say they hire bikes, but you're on your own to get more info.
Have a look in this very forum for info up north, again you'll have to do some digging around.
From http://www.misrutas.net/ you might be able to find some routes, I've never used them so can't comment on their quality.
Another relatively useful site, but it doesn't seem to have much to offer for mtb in Cantabria.

I guess if you want a nice ride along the north of Spain it may be worth you looking into doing the "Camino de Santiago". There are various routes to follow, all ending in Santiago de Compostela. Hope this helps!

If you need one bike for some days I don´t see a problem with this, some of us could lend you one.

Write the questions before your trip.

There are good trails, better than goods, superbs.

The "Trailrider guide to spain" has some recommendations around Gijon. The place has got hills and trees, so there´s likely to be some good riding.
